We are a small private school, providing specialized attention and an exceptional educational experience for children 2 ½ through 6 years of age. Licensed by the state of California, La Jolla Village Montessori School focuses on the development of each student’s unique potential and gives her or him the opportunity to experience the joy of learning, the excitement of exploration and the pride of achievement while proceeding at his or her own pace.
The La Jolla Village Montessori School's philosophy of education is to provide a
carefully designed, loving and nurturing environment, where children learn by discovery and understanding. Our program allows each child to develop confidence as he/she participates in a stimulating array of indoor and outdoor activities through which we promote an enthusiasm for learning and an appreciation for one's self, for other individuals, and our surroundings. The Montessori method encourages self-direction, self-motivation, and self-expression in a sensibly planned environment of nurturing structure.
